The monthly Greater Atlanta Coin Show begins its 24th year at a new location for 2011: The Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel and Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs Street just southwest of the historic Marietta Square.
And for you history buffs, back in 1851, the Georgia Military Institute was located on this same land. The hotel lobby offers memorabilia and murals remembering the history of the area.

The show hours continue to be from 9 am to 5 pm for guests, and admission is still free.
The Sunday, Jaunary 16 show will be in the Joe Mack Wilson Ballroom on the main floor of the conference center.
Though our current weather is cold and the ice makes the roads treacherous, the temperatures begin to increase on Friday and will be in the mid to high 40s on Sunday.
