The next Monthly Greater Atlanta Coin Show is this Sunday, May 15, 2011. The coin show’s location is the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs Street just south of the historic Marietta Square. The show’s hours are from 9 am to 5 pm for guests, and the admission is free.
The coin show’s bourse includes many coin dealers who offer a variety of numismatics and collectibles. Guests can find coins and currency – rare and not-quite-so-rare, US Mint products, bullion – gold, silver and platinum, jewelry and books and supplies for collectors. In addition to selling their wares, the dealers also trade and buy numismatics and precious metals.
This month, the show will be located on the main floor of the conference center in the Joe Mack Wilson ballroom.
As for the weather, the extended forecast for this weekend shows Sunday’s weather with a high of 73 and a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms. In other words, a great day to visit a coin show.
